Between Myths and Legends

I was born in Jakarta a capital city of Indonesia. Indonesia is a big country contains of five big islands and thousands islands spread around. We live with water around us, where the equator line is above us, people call us the ring of fire nation. Our land is fertile there lies some active volcano, under us there lies Australasian plate.
Earthquake is not something new for us, it can be caused by the volcano and the moving plate under us. When it comes deep down under the sea it can occur as tsunami.
Indonesia is in the group five biggest population in the world. We were under colonialist by Dutch for three and half centuries. It was not a short term. Three hundred and fifty years under colonialism from our ancient to recent generation make our people have a specific characteristic. If the colonialism could live so long it was possible that some group people liked being the wriggler of the people who had power at that time as long as they could make the colonialist happy and they were safe.
These culture have become clearly implemented amongst our nations. Some people who have life much better than the others seem not to care at all. They are also some people who are idealist, most of them have a culture from our hero against colonialism, these are less than the first category, therefore no wonder that the colonialism stayed here for hundreds years.
