There are many volcanoes in Indonesia.
From the very east of Indonesia, in Papua (Irian Jaya) we have about 14 volcanoes with Cartenz Pyramid is the highest mountain over there.
In Java island we have about 38 volcanoes where Semeru is the highest mountain.
In Kalimantan (Borneo) island we have about only 4 volcanoes, they are all inactive, people in Kalimantan are more safe from volcano.
In Sulawesi (Celebes) island we have about 12 volcanoes, they are not too high.
In Sumatera island we have about 13 volcanoes with Kerinci is the highest mountain over there.
In Bali island we have about 3 volcanoes, in Nusa Tenggara we have about 19 volcano with Rinjani is the highest mountain in Lombok island.
We have one volcano in Maluku and in Sunda Strait the most dangerous volcano in the world : Krakatau where 32,000 were killed in 1883.
